Copyright and Licensing Policy

Tikrit Journal of Administrative and Economic Sciences

License and Copyright Ownership

  • The journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
  • Author Rights: This license allows authors to keep ownership of the copyright of their papers.
  • User Permissions: The license permits any user to download, print out, extract, reuse, archive, and distribute the article, so long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and the source of the work. This ensures that the article will be available as widely as possible and can be included in any scientific archive.

Incorporating Third-Party Content

You are permitted to incorporate content such as photographs, illustrations, charts, audio, and video files in your manuscript under the following conditions:

  • The content must be your original work or that of your co-authors.
  • Written Consent: In cases where you do not hold ownership, written consent from the content owner is mandatory, demonstrating their agreement for the use of their content under the CC BY license (a permission request form is available for this purpose).
  • Elimination of Content: If you cannot prove ownership or permission, you will be asked to eliminate or substitute the content in question.
  • It is strictly important not to presume the legality of using content found online without verifying its ownership and applicable license.

Reusing Published Material & Data

  • Transfer of Rights: Ownership rights of content from a previously published paper by another publisher may not automatically transfer to you. The ability to reuse such content depends on the original publication's licensing terms.
  • Citation and Permission: Content under a CC BY license (or similar free-use licenses) can be reused with proper citation. For content under restrictive licenses, you must verify your rights and obtain explicit permission, especially if the original license prohibits use under a less restrictive license like CC BY. Contact us for guidance on licensing questions.
  • Accompanying Data: Data accompanying your submission should not be subject to more restrictive licenses than CC BY 4.0.
  • The journal reserves the authority to remove any content from a publication, pre- or post-publication, if there is evidence to suggest unauthorized use. Always ensure you have the right to use content and provide appropriate attribution.

Self-Archiving / Repository Policy

  • If the author or authors wish to deposit a copy of their paper in an institutional or other repository of their choice, the journal allows the author to deposit the Published version in any institutional or chosen repository without restriction.
